Our Story

During the pandemic that forced the arts and entertainment venues to shut down, many professional musicians switched to teaching online. Keith Packard, the Founder & CEO of KP Music Mentors, was one of them.

As an experienced musician and teacher, Keith decided to embrace the new technology and create high-quality personalised lessons over Zoom. Our online music lessons create new opportunities for students who now have access to the world’s best teachers. In addition, remote learning provides students with more flexibility since they can now learn to play an instrument from the comfort of their own home and practice at their own pace.

Not all great musicians make great teachers, so when Keith decided to expand his teaching business, he focused on hiring experienced musicians who not only excel on stage but also bring value and provide a comfortable learning environment for the students.

KP Music Mentors is a community of like-minded teachers who deliver the highest quality remote music tuition. Based across different states, from California to New York, our instructors can deliver quality online music lessons for kids as well as teach music over Zoom to adults all over the country and overseas.

We are passionate about our students and believe in creating a friendly, comfortable and flexible environment for everyone to learn and improve their skills.

Keith has played the guitar in a wide variety of musical settings: Jazz, rock, pop, blues, classical, and much more. Keith lives in Easton, PA and plays with a variety of groups throughout the tri-state area.

Keith plays a 1968 Gibson ES 330, a 1943 Martin 0-18, a Fender Stratocaster. He uses Fender, Music Man, and Vox amplifiers. He also uses Dunlop and D’Andrea guitar picks.

“Keith is really nice and caring about the students, and he would prepare the teaching material based on the students’ preference. For me, as I just wanna to play guitar as a hobby and a fan of Taylor Swift, so I started to learn the chords and all the related skills gonna to be used in that song since week 1 and now after 3 lessons with some practice, I am trying to play the simple version already, should be able to play the whole song after lesson 4. Definitely worth the money I paid for the lessons. Enjoyed the lessons, real fun here!”
