Guitar for Swifties is the first-of-its-kind guitar class where you learn guitar based on Taylor Swift songs.
Beginner Guitar Lessons for Swifties
Instead of spending 1-2 years learning to read notes in the hopes of learning your favorite tune, we jump right into the whole Taylor Swift songs catalog from Day 1.
We will use Taylor Swift songs to learn all the fundamental techniques. Every student learns at a different pace and every student will run into their own unique strengths and weaknesses.
For that reason, all the songs will have multiple stages of difficulty, so you will never feel like you just can’t play something!
In this beginners course, you will learn:
How to tune and hold your guitar
How to use a pick
How to use a capo
The most important guitar chords
Basic strumming patterns
How to follow along with a chord chart
Advanced Guitar Lessons for Swifties
If you’ve already taken beginner guitar lessons for Swifites and can get through all the materials comfortably, or if you are an intermediate/advanced beginner looking to get into playing Taylor Swift songs on guitar, this class is for you!
The techniques learned in this class can also help you to guitar parts to similar artists like Pheobe Bridgers, Gracie Abrams, etc.
We will tackle some of Taylor’s more tricky guitar songs, especially the ones heard on “Live in Paris”.
You will learn:
The most important barre chords
Switching chords in with fast strumming
Hammer-ons, pull-offs
Advanced strum patterns
Variation in strum patterns
Ideas for creating guitar parts in your songwriter
Our prices
Classes are 75 minutes long once per week and there are 3-5 adult students in a class.
Tuition for the 8-week course is $400 paid in advance - payment details will be sent privately to all participants.
We highly encourage taking this class with a Swiftie friend so you can practice together on your own time. If you don’t know someone, don’t worry because everyone in the class will quickly become friends!
We have a limited number of acoustic guitars available for rent for an additional $50 for the duration of the class.
